How it goes
Three steps and a phone call
You've just done step one, or you can do it the quiet way by text. Either way it lands in the same place.
Tell us about the car
Rego, kilometres, what's good about it and what isn't. Photos help. The more honest they are, the better this works for you.
Christian looks at it
A licensed Queensland motor dealer goes through your car personally, looking at the photos, the history, the lot, and decides what he'll pay for it. No algorithm makes that call.
His answer comes by text
Straight to your phone as a text message with a link to the details, no obligation either way. If it suits you, we sort the paperwork properly and come and get it.
Why not Marketplace
Selling privately works. It's just a rotten way to spend six weeks.
We'll say it plainly. A patient private seller who does everything right will often do better than us on the number. What you're weighing up is whether the difference is worth the circus.
The private sale
Strangers with your home address. Test drives with people you've never met. "Is this still available?" forty times. No shows on a Sunday. Payment you have to trust. And it's on you to get the transfer right.
The trade in
Easy, fast, and the number usually reflects that. It's a line item in a deal to sell you something else. Nothing dishonest about it, but it isn't a market for your car.
The boring, important bit
A licensed dealer, doing it properly
We're a licensed Queensland motor dealer. That means the paperwork gets done the way the law says it should, covering the statutory forms, the register and the transfer, and there's a regulator you can go to if we ever get it wrong.
If there's money still owing on your car, that's normal and we deal with it all the time. We check the register, sort the payout as part of the sale, and you get what's left.
One family
Why Not Own It puts people in cars. Why Not Sell It takes them back out.
Same people, same standards, opposite problem. One side gets someone into a work car they end up owning; this side buys cars off people who just want them gone, without being messed about.
Selling a few?
Dealers, wholesalers and fleet operators don't need the story. Send us the list and we'll get straight to it.
Righto. Let's do the fun version.
It takes a couple of minutes and you'll end up with a card of your car worth sending to someone.
